A proposal is a document that outlines a plan of action, request for funding, or proposal of an idea. Proposal writing is a process organizations follow for proposal creation. Proposal writing can be used in various settings, including business, academia, and government. In each case, the goal is to present a clear and concise plan to convince the reader to approve the proposal. This training course will help you design and prepare funding proposal for the humanatarian and development Non-profit organisations and companies.
Course Objective
- Improve participants’ skills in developing quality project proposals for NGOs.
- Help them to understand a project’s value as a tool to achieve and further the organisation’s mission.
- Avoid any confusion, make use of headings, callouts, graphics, and a clean format.
- Establishing systems and standards related to developing projects within the NGOs .
- Write an executive summary, includig: The problem your project is planning to solve, the solution your project provides for that problem and the impact your project will have.
- Explain the project background: What is the problem your project addresses? What is already known about this problem? and Who has addressed this problem before/what research is there?
- Present a solution : Your vision statement for the project , your project schedule, including important milestones , project team roles and responsibilities, A risk register showing how you’ll mitigate risk and the project deliverables, reporting tools you’ll use throughout the project.
- Learning proposal-writing techniques, as well as developing skills in designing and writing successful project proposals
- Understand the donor climate in Jordan with focus on the most active donors such as (USAID, EU, Japan, SIDA, GAC, FCDO and others).
Persuasion is important in a project proposal because you’re hoping your audience will read your proposal and do something for you in return. If your reader isn’t intrigued by your project, they won’t feel inclined to help you.
